FAQs

What ages does the program serve?

The Tinkergarten program offered through Tiny Seeds Nature Play is designed for children ages 18 months-6 years.

Children younger and older than that age range are welcome to enroll and families are encouraged to try a class to see if it is a good fit for their explorer.

Can siblings come for free?

Siblings under 18 months of age may join at no cost. Siblings 18 months or older should enroll in the class, and a 30% sibling discount is applied to the add-on cost.

If a sibling needs to attend due to scheduling change (i.e. day off at school), they can attend up to two sessions within a full (8 or more weeks) season or one session within a partial or shortened season, without enrolling. Families are asked to notify the teacher if an extra child needs to attend for a session so they can prepare any necessary materials.

Can families try a class before enrolling in the program?

Families are invited to attend one session of the season for a discounted fee of $5 to try Tinkergarten and see if it could be a good fit. Trials are offered when space allows. Please click the “Trials” tab to sign up; if the tab is not visible, trials are not being offered due to full classes.

Are refunds offered?

If a refund is requested BEFORE the season of classes begins, families can receive a full refund, minus 5% for credit card processing fees.

If a refund is requested AFTER the season of classes begins, families can receive a refund for half of the value of the remaining sessions in the season, minus 5% for credit card processing fees.

Are credits or refunds offered for missed sessions?

Credits and refunds are not offered for classes missed by families. If a class is cancelled by Tiny Seeds Nature Play, it will be rescheduled for a different date based on accommodating the majority of the families in the class. Families who separately subscribe to Tinkergarten Home can utilize that content if they miss a live class session.

What happens in inclement weather?

We play in all types of weather, including summer heat, winter cold, and rainy days. Decisions about whether it is safe to hold class are determined by the teacher using local weather guidance.

The teacher will update families at least 60 minutes prior to class by email or text message.

Whenever possible, the session will be offered at another time the same week.
